4/10/2023 0 Comments Shatter me summary no spoilers![]() ![]() With a lot more of Kenji’s hilarious comments and thoughts. It’s just a bit of the ending of the previous book but in Kenji’s POV. Well, this book doesn’t really give any new information. A woman named Nouria, who is apparently Castle’s daughter. For the first time since the since the series started, we hear about someone we never thought existed. ![]() Here’s something interesting that happens. I guess this new Juliette just isn’t really doing it for us. Kenji misses his kind and emotional best friend. And you can only imagine how Kenji feels about that, let alone Warner. With her new hairstyle, she takes on a completely new, cold, and emotionless look, all business now. And they both are trying to act like their completely fine and distance themselves from everyone else. Juliette is also in agony because Warner and everyone else lied to her about pretty much her whole life. Warner is in agony since Juliette isn’t talking to him and they broke up. SPOILER ALERT A majority of this book is Kenji worrying about other people and their feelings and him gushing over Nazeera. We can all see how well that’s going for him. We also find out, on a side note, that Castle actually made a deal with Kenji to try and reduce the amount of curse words he says. Castle, Warner, his friends, Juliette, and Nazeera. In this book, we learn about Kenji’s relationship with a lot of people. He wouldn’t be Kenji without his colorful vocabulary after all. This book is set in the perspective of the one and only Kenji Kishimoto, which means that you can look forward to a bunch of hilarious comments and comedic relief weaved in all of the tension that takes place in this book. I really wanted to see the wedding ceremony, or more of it, but I guess it's okay because that sheer happiness they had just looking at each other filled me up.This novella is part of the Shatter Me series and comes after Restore Me. And that ending, when Warner saw Juliette in her dress and knew that it was just where he wanted to be? Deceased. ![]() Kenji and Winston discussing the smile and the dimples cracked me up. I really want him to be real, not gonna lie. Juliette showing Warner all the work they were doing to rebuild the Reestablishment for the better, and his happiness, was so sweet! My favorite part was when Kenji blurted out that they were actually getting married that day, and Warner smiled with his DIMPLES. When Warner gave Juliette the ring, I teared up. I kind of wanted to see more Adam and how he reacted to the wedding, but I guess it's just like The Selection where Aspen found his true love and was no longer concerned with his ex's issues. I love the found family, but some of them don't give it a rest. I was really glad that Juliette stood up for him and confronted all these people about their heartlessness. ![]() Even Kenji! But with Kenji, it's more acceptable because they just have an enemies-to-lovers relationship. When Nouria yelled at him, I almost lost it. He had been helping these people for so long, and yes, he could be cold, but at least he was helping them. But the way that everyone around him was ruthless and brutal towards him didn't sit right with me. He has always been down on himself from the beginning of this series, which is understandable, given how absolutely horribly he has been treated since birth. ![]()
